The Work and Holiday visa is for tertiary educated people aged 18 to 30 who are interested in a working holiday of up to 12 months in Australia. This visa allows you to supplement the cost of your holiday through periods of temporary or casual employment.

You can apply for a Work and Holiday visa if you:

• You are aged between 18 and 30 inclusive at the date of application
• You are enrolled in a post secondary course of study or you hold post secondary qualifications
• You meet health and character requirements
• You hold a passport from the USA
• You are outside of Australia when you apply for and are granted the visa
• You are not accompanied by any dependants in your travel to Australia

* Applicants from the United States of America do not need to be or have been engaged in tertiary studies. USA applicants must have graduated from a high school.
